San Juan Island, accessible by boat, plane or the Washington State Ferry, is an astonishing, beautiful, tranquil place. It has it's own relaxed pace of life, a culture of rugged outdoor fun, and a strong connection to nature. Friday Harbor, on the east side, is a quaint seaport with a ferry landing, public marina and parks, restaurants, shops, galleries and lodging facilities. On the north end of the island is Roche Harbor Village with an airstrip, marina, lodging, grocery store, restaurants, park, shopping and many water activities.
